She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry McIntosh and Kate McIntosh (Hopper); her husband Duane "Leroy" Smith; her sons, Michael Garrard and Ronnie Garrard; her siblings, William Albert McIntosh, Wilbur Leroy McIntosh, Alice Irene Frederick, Valeria Ellen Richardson, Henry Warren McIntosh, Benjamin Oscar McIntosh, Catherine Fern Vernia, Andrew Ray McIntosh and John Allen McIntosh; and her nephew Richard Vernia.

She is survived by : her sons, Larry (Jeanne Garrard) and Steve (Connie Ames); her granddaughters, Stephanie, Cathy, Rhonda and Jane; and her nephews, Robert Vernia and George Vernia. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and by several great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
