James Lee Finney Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Lee Finney of Oblong, Illinois, who passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James Lee Finney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Randolph Finney and D. Eulah LeFever Finney Mikeworth; his daughter Dana Finney; his son-in-law Dennis Reed; and his brother Paul "Pete" Finney.
He is survived by: his wife Lulu B. O'Dell; his son Danny Finney (Carolyn) of Champaign, IL; his grandchildren, Jennifer Schmidt (Andy) of Schaumburg, IL, Brian Finney (Justine Arrington) of San Diego, CA and Derek Finney of Oak Lawn, IL; and his great grandchildren, Tyler Schmidt of Schaumburg, IL. and Kaylee Schmidt of Schaumburg, IL.. He is also survived by numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the White Oak Church (14997 N 50th St, Oblong, IL 62449). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
