He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Kirk and Effie Kirk (Matheny); his sons, Lance E. Kirk and Anthony Scott "Tony" Kirk; his granddaughter Brandi Deckard; and his siblings, Reba (Henry Traylor Sr.), Dawn (Wayne Tracy), David (Judy Kirk) and Noel Kirk.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Kirk; his children, Pam Kirk, Kim and Terry McCleave; his grandchildren, Megan Strachan, Marshall McCleave (Kelsey) and Alexandria Kirk; his great grandchildren, Tyler Strachan, Sophia Strachan, Carson Barnes, Mack McCleave, Maya McCleave and Malachi McCleave; his brother Gene; his sister-in-law Janet Kirk; his sister Karen; and his siblings-in-law, John Staley and Rose Ann Kirk. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Goodwine Funeral Home (303 E Main St, Robinson, IL 62454). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the "Mexican Missionary Organization" or the "First Christian Church of Oblong," with envelopes available at the funeral home.
