With sadness, we share the passing of Lowell K. Betts of Oblong, Illinois. Lowell, born on August 12, 1933, passed away on August 31, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Edward and Emma Betts (Miller). He is survived by: his children, Glen Betts (Gracie) of Sheridan, IN, David Betts of Berea, OH, Marlin Betts (Debbie) of Brazil, IN and Marilyn Sheridan (David) of Oblong; his brother Raymond Betts (Peggy) of Fremont, MI; his sister-in-law Joanne Perry (Tim) of Holton, MI.; his brother Douglas Betts; and his son-in-law Leonard Waller, Jr.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Pulliam Funeral Home - Oblong (302 E Main St, Oblong, IL 62449). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, an expression of sympathy may take the form of a contribution to the Bible Missionary Church, Inc. (for Foreign Missions) or Crossroads Biker's Church (for food supplies to feed the homeless due to the recent flood in Indiana).
