She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Holthaus and Anna Holthaus (Ernst); her husband Harley T. Beyers; her son-in-law Randy Sims; her grandson Dominic Beyers; and her siblings, Harold Holthaus, Sister Roselita Holthaus, Joan Schnaare, Catherine Lengermann and Jimmy Holthaus.
She is survived by: her children, Thomas Beyers (Judy) of Odin, IL, Steve Beyers (Denise) of Oconee, IL, Denny Beyers (Jody) of Pana, IL, Larry Beyers (Sandy) of Oconee, IL, Annette Sims of Oconee, IL, Al Beyers (Brenda) of Chatham, IL, Dan Beyers (Jolene) of Rosamond, IL, Duane Beyers (Rebecca) of Pana, IL and Eric Beyers (Dawn) of Owaneco, IL; and her siblings, Marilyn Holthaus of Oconee, IL, Charles Holthaus of Pana, IL, William Holthaus (Evelyn) of Taylorville, IL and Patrick Holthaus (LaVerne) of Pana, IL.. She is also survived by 34 grandchildren; 82 great grandchildren.
Memorials in Gertie's honor may be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oconee or the Oconee Parish Hall Fund and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home who is assisting the family.
