Charles W. Zittel Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charles W. Zittel (O'Fallon, Illinois), born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on June 13, 2025 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Zittel and Eleanor Zittel; and his brother Hank Zittel. He is survived by: his wife Bernadette Zittel; his children, Amy Lombardi (Craig) and Matt Zittel (Hope); his grandchildren, Colin, Jake, Jack Lombardi, Sam and Madelyn Zittel; and his sister Mary El Roche. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, cousins and dear neighbors.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Corpus Christi Catholic Church (205 Rasp St, O'Fallon, IL 62269). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, the Belleville Area Humane Society, and Corpus Christi Catholic Church.
