He was predeceased by: his spouse Shirley L. Pool; his father Virgil Pool; and his siblings, Virginia Robinson, Doris Eckhoff, Virgil Pool, Dean Pool, Edwin Pool and Lyle Pool.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gala Gahr (Steven) and Penny Cooper (David); his granddaughters, Lauren Ruth (Michael Zadroga), Jordan Dennis (Patrick), Morgan Pritz (Lucas) and Madelyn Cooper; his great grandchildren, Maura, Claire Dennis, Sofia Zadroga and Max Pritz; his brother Byron Pool; his mother Helen Pool; and his friend Shirley Heitbrink.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Faith Lutheran Church (520 E Hwy 50, O'Fallon, IL 62269). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
