We bid farewell to James Jeremiah of OFallon, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 20, 2026 at the age of 82. James touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald V. Jeremiah and Delvia R. Jeremiah (Tosh); his wife Carol Louise Maes; his brother John; his grandchildren, Zachary Jeremiah and Chris James; and his great grandchild Kaley James.
He is survived by: his children, James Jeremiah, Jr. (Debra) of Steeleville, IL and Liz Jeremiah Key (Ginny) of O'Fallon, IL; his stepchildren, Jimmy Joe Maes (Kim) of Chester, IL, Mary Maes Carder (Craig) of Dahlonega, GA and Philip Maes (Mary Beth) of Chester, IL; his grandchildren, Will, Ava, Mia Key, Patrick Harley (Destiny), JD Maes (Brandy), Sarah Maes, Kristen Maes and Jenna Larkin (Darren); his great grandchildren, Vincent Jeremiah, Brantley James, McKinley James, Baylee James, Garrett Banfield, Natalee Handsbury, Madison Larkin, Will Larkin, Wade Larkin, Olive Maes, Samantha Maes, Lucas Maes, Nathaniel Maes, Tyree Maes and James Michael Maes; his siblings, Susan Jeremiah (Joe) of Steeleville, MO and Tim Jeremiah (Denise) of Lewisburg, TN; and his pet Spotty. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
