We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2025, at the age of 88, Jeanette Hoertel of OFallon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Robert E. Hoertel; her parents, Clyde McBride and Lucille McBride; and her sister Donna Vollmer. She is survived by: her children, Denise Westlund (Steven) of Belleville, IL, Monica Hoertel of Lake Bluff, IL, John Hoertel (Lisa) of St. Louis, MO, Joe Hoertel (Debra) of Wood River, IL, Madonna Benjamin (Bill) of Swansea, IL, Stephanie Galloway of Imperial, MO and Matt Hoertel (Cyndi) of St. Louis, MO; her grandchildren, Daniel Westlund (Lauren), Andrew Westlund (Ennis), Erik Westlund, Brandon Seper, Sarah Federko (Dusty), Chris Doeschot (Tim), Katy Hoertel, Robert Hoertel, Christie Cardwell (Mike), Bill Benjamin and Alex Benjamin (Fallon); her great grandchildren, Tatum, Emerson, Ozzie, Barrett and Ford; and her sibling's children, Julie Vaughn (Vollmer), Rick Vollmer and Bart Vollmer. She is also survived by nieces and nephew; and many loving grand puppies, kittens, and birds.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Foundation and Family Hospice.
