We are sad to announce that, on April 13, 2026, at the age of 92, Paul Melvin Cleary of OFallon, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cleary and Pauline Britt; and his siblings, Mary Collins, Corinne Normansell, Loretta Breese and Curtis Britt.
He is survived by: his wife Maria Shirley Cleary; his daughter Maria Wagner (Matt); his grandchildren, Paul Cleary (Laura) and Kayla Melanson (Adam); his great grandchildren, Shaylyn, Emery and Lennon Cleary; and his siblings-in-law, Ruth Ann Britt, Sandra Coombs and John Breese. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews, and cousins, and lifelong friends.
Memorials may be made in his name to Ardent Hospice of O'Fallon and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
