He is survived by: his sons, David Mackin (Melanie) and Steven Mackin (Maria); his son-in-law Kevin Foley; his siblings, Paul Mackin, Bonnie Gonzales (Dennis) and Barbara Mackin; and his grandchildren, Patrick Foley (Vanessa), Timothy Foley (Ali), Matt Mackin (Jackie), Douglas Mackin (Christina) and Thomas M. Mackin. He is also survived by twelve great‑grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Saint Nicholas Roman Catholic Church (625 Saint Nicholas Dr, O'Fallon, IL 62269). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
