We are sad to announce that on November 27, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Valerie York of OFallon, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gloria York and Eugene York; her siblings, Phyliss (Penny), Rhoda (Tootie) and Dwight (Ikey); and her nephews, Juan Hill and Shawn Hill.
She is survived by: her children, Eric Hill, Erica Hill and Marlon Hill; her sisters, Wendy York and Gale Stuckey; her grandchildren, Ronnie Moore, Brittany, Da'Mondria, Cameron, Brianna, Brandon, Renaissance Hill, Raven Johnson and Darren Smith; and her close friend Erie Stanley. She is also survived by her seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 14th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St. Matthews Missionary Baptist Church (2908 Louisiana Blvd, East St Louis, IL 62203).
