It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernell Clara Spencer of OFallon, Illinois, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on September 7, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James R. Spencer; her parents, Clara Heins, and Louis Heins, Sr.; and her brother Louis Heins, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Gary Spencer (Kendrea) of Amelia Island, Fla. and Sherry Enskat (Bruce) of Citrus Springs, Fla.; her grandsons, Timothy Enskat, Nicholas Spencer (Jennifer), Aaron Enskat (Emily) and Cody Spencer; her great grandchildren, Joshua Spencer and Clara Enskat; and her sister-in-law Kris Heins of St. Louis.
