He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Bird and Marian Bird (Dinelli); and his former wife Janice Faletti. He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Ficek of Oglesby; his children, John Bird (Felicia Williams) of Waukegan and Mary Owczarski (Dan) of Glen Ellyn; and his granddaughters, Alison and Kate Owczarski.
