We bid farewell to Art Stine of Okawville, Illinois, born in Brownstown, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 25, 2025 at the age of 88. Art touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Conrad Stine and Bertha Stine; his wife Charlene Harriett; his brothers, Robert, George, Red, Paul, David, Lewis and Raymond; and his sons-in-law, Ken Moyer and Chad Ragsdale.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Stine (Nancy) of Okawville, Dawn Moyer of Okawville, Karl Stine of Urbana, IL and Karla Ragsdale of Okawville; his grandchildren, Justin Stine (Sarah), Cameron Stine (Carey), Casey Stine (Steven Dooley), Rodney Moyer (Stephanie), Michael Mueller (Michelle), Charlotte Henderson, Elizabeth Mueller, Rebecca Mueller, Rachel Mueller, Nicholas Stine (Julie Bumpus) and Christopher Stine (Megan); and his siblings, Jerry Stine (Connie) of Vandalia, IL, Juanita Workman of Vandalia and Glenna Hagler (Rick) of Altamont, IL. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the St. Peter United Church of Christ - Okawville (106 Church St, Okawville, IL 62271). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Missouri National Veterans Memorial, or Honor Flight of Southern Illinois, or the Heritage House Museum and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
