He was predeceased by: his parents, Delio Helbig and Marguerite Helbig. He is survived by: his wife Carol Helbig of Venedy, IL; his son Russell Helbig (Diane) of Addieville, IL; his grandchildren, Alex Helbig and Elizabeth Helbig; his son Kent Helbig (Kellee) of Oakdale; and his grandchildren, Rodney and Julia Helbig of Lively Grove, IL. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Salvator Lutheran Church (179 W Church St, Venedy, IL 62214).
Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Immanuel Lutheran School in Okawville or the Parkinson Foundation and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
