He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Potter and Clarise "Velma" Bennett; his former wife Mary Potter (Gammey); and his son Robert John Potter. He is survived by: his wife Frances Potter (Adams) of Olney; his daughter Lynda Riggs of Schaumburg, IL; his grandchildren, Dan Riggs, Jill McLaughlin and Jeff Riggs (Amanda); his great grandchildren, Nathan McLaughlin, Grace Shuger, Caden and Cameron Riggs; and his stepchildren, Keith Samara (Lorna), Tracie Samara and Taylor Samara. He is also survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
