It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Deaton of Olney, Illinois, born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on May 30, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edone L. Deaton and Modena Deaton (Faudree). He is survived by: his wife Lila; his children, Christine Adkins (Donald), Matthew Deaton (Andrea), John Patrick Deaton, Rebecca Rechkemmer (Shawn) and William Deaton; and his sister Linda Mariconi (Gary). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, six great grandchildren.
