The memory of Karen Sue Smith of Olney, Illinois, who passed away on July 27, 2025 at the age of 66, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bobby Reynolds and Mary Reynolds (McCleave); her former husband David Crew; and her sister-in-law Roberta Reynolds. She is survived by: her husband Daniel Smith of Olney; her children, Michael Crew (Melissa) of Olney, Mathew Crew (Stacy) of Olney and Alainna Smith of Paris, IL; her grandson Benjamin Crew of Olney; her siblings, Jim Reynolds of Calhoun, Connie Higgason (Greg) of Olney, Chuck Reynolds of Parkersburg and Scott Reynolds (Michele) of Olney; and her pets, Tucker and Willow. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, as well as great great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home (205 E Elm St, Olney, IL 62450). A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Richland Cemetery (4988 E Calhoun Ln, Calhoun, IL 62419).
