He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Ochs and Susie Ochs (Frauli); his daughter Janet Ochs; and his siblings, Sylvan Ochs, Samuel Ochs, Esther Ochs and John Ochs.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Ochs (Kathy) of Evansville, IN, Robert Ochs (Stephanie) of Olney and Sharon Behnke (Charles) of Olney; his grandchildren, Jennifer Barbee (Brad), Melissa Small (Bryan), Megan Ross (Jake), Christopher Ochs (Danae), Alisha DiRuzza (Andrea), Curtis Ochs (Kelsie), Cassandra Carter (Richard Craig) and Joshua Ochs; and his sisters-in-law, Mary Lou Ochs, Debbie Ochs and Susan Ochs. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Memorials can be made to the Catholic Youth Ministry as a tribute to his lifetime as a carpenter, building and repairing. Memorials may also be made to the Carle Richland Memorial Long Term Care Unit Activity Funds which provides bingo prizes and other fun activities.
