She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Gilbert and Nile Fern Dorsey (Rowen). She is survived by: her children, Donald Burkett, Janice Weir (Jon Brandsasse), Joseph Burkett, Jackie L. Jackson and Whitney Jones; her brothers, Chester Ray Dorsey and Ralph Dorsey; and her former husband Floyd Burkett. She is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
