It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Carson of Olney, Illinois, who passed away on June 21, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Margaret Carson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ansel Chadwick and Lillian Roberts (Smith); her husband Hubert F. Carson; and her siblings, Eloise Van Cleve, Evelyn Germer, Virginia McIlwain, Sonny Roberts, Mary Jane Plummer and Winifred Joiner.
She is survived by: her children, Ellen Treacy (Pat) of Fall Creek, WI, Martha Stumb (Tom) of Boulder, CO., Sarah Burk (Bill) of Tucson, AZ and Tom Carson (Diane) of Mancos, CO; her grandchildren, Olivia Haas (Nick), Patrick Treacy, Sheila Treacy, Morgan Stumb, Claire Stumb, Lilly Stumb, Davis Burk, Madeline Burk and Lily Burk; and her great grandchildren, Harrison Stumb and Lily Haas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peggy's Home (5316 E 7 Hills Ln, Olney, IL 62450).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Olney Public Library, the Olney Arts Council (OAC), or the Ridgeway Chapter of the Audubon Society.
