She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Kaufmann and Serena Kaufmann (Kocher); her husband Gilbert John "Gib" Volk; her children, Chuck, John Volk and Jan Westendorf; her son-in-law Scott Hartrich; and her grandson Shane Lewis.
She is survived by: her children, Deb Holkenbrink (Floyd) of Teutopolis, IL, Phil Volk (Karla) of Wakefield, IL, Cathy Lewis (Jim) of Bible Grove, IL, Sandy Webb (Tom) of Jewett, IL, Lisa Bohnhoff (Brian) of Dietrich, IL, Becky Will (Carl) of Newton, IL, Mary Woods (Vance) of Newton, IL, Sherry Shamhart (Todd) of Newton, IL, Joyce Hartrich of Newton, IL, Judy Zumbahlen (Phil) of Newton, IL and Toni Zumbahlen (Roger) of Newton, IL; her children-in-law, Bob Westendorf and Terri Wyatt Higgins; her siblings, Millie Zuber of Olney, Leonard Kaufmann (Alice) of Effingham, Phyllis Edwards of Texas, Maynard Kaufmann (Elfreida) of Ste. Marie and Mary Gurski (Paul) of Florida; and her sister-in-law Petronilla Volk. She is also survived by 39 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
