He is survived by: his wife Mildred Poland Parnell of Olney; his sister Carolyn Stein of Peoria; his daughters, Susan Whittaker (Bill) of Waterloo, IL, Cindy Parnell of Champaign, IL, Lisa Parnell of Paducah and Denise Parnell (Karl Lauger) of Oak Park, IL.; his great great grandchild Eryn (Dan Cassout (Lucas); and his grandchildren, Meghan (Brad Blaies (Desi), Amy (Justin Swan (Mackenzie), Tiffany Trammel, Brian (Jackie Royse (Braden), Julia Davis, Taylor Davis, Zeke Parnell, Camille Erickson (Emily Lee), Celeste Erickson and Eli Lauger.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Olney Free Methodist Church (223 W Cherry St, Olney, IL 62450). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
