He was predeceased by : his parents, Clinton Cleo and Gladys Louise Eckiss (Nease); his wife Lois (Fisher); his sons, David and Bradley Eckiss; and his daughter-in-law Barbara Eckiss.

He is survived by : his daughters, Charlotte Eckiss-Prieur of Ft. Smith, Arkansas and Kathy Hixon (Tom) of Claremont, Illinois; and his siblings, Deloris, Bob Hayes, Barbara, John Knakmuhs, Roger and Debbie Eckiss. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
