He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Walden and Ruth Walden (Lynch); his siblings, Winnie Howard (Don) and Leslie Walden (Naoma); and his nephew Ed Howard.
He is survived by: his wife Ruby Walden (Cook) of Olney; his children, Terri Shafer (Dave) of Olney, Mike Walden (Beth) of Milton, FL, Jeff Walden (Sheryl) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA and Brad Walden (Sharon Banks) of Vincennes, IN; and his grandchildren, Kyle Shafer of Marion, IL, Ryan Walden of Chino, CA and Megan Walden (Patrick Schmidt) of Topeka, KS. He is also survived by great grandchild; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kistler-Patterson Funeral Home (205 E Elm St, Olney, IL 62450). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery (780 County Rd 1600 E, Parkersburg, IL 62452).
