She was predeceased by: her parents, Ben Steele and Dollie Steele (McCreary); her brother Dennis Steele; her niece Mary Ann Steele; her nephews, Ethan Steele and Freddy Bomar; and her brother-in-law Fred Bomar.
She is survived by: her husband Charlie Houchin; her daughters, Christina Berry (Blake) and Catherine Austin; her mother-in-law Marie Houchin; her grandchildren, Chris, Nate, Samantha, Riley and Bella; her great grandchildren, Jay and Noah; and her siblings, Benny "Banjo" Steele, Jim Steele (GerriAnn), Mike Steele (Tracy), Ronnie "Rock" Steele, Barb Bomar, Joyce Palmer, Pat Howell and Angie Wilhelm. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
