He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Glenn and Jodene Eloise Downard (Carlton); and his grandparents, Hank, Josephine Carlton, Glenn and Luella Downard.

He is survived by: his sister Deb Harding of Oquawka; his half-sister Bobbie Sue Downard of Galesburg; his stepchildren, Tracy Bennett (Jay) of New Braunfels, TX, Donna Foreman (Howie Mason) of Monmouth, IL and Kenny Sargeant (Amanda) of Oquawka; his stepgrandchildren, Shania Boria, Zach Sargeant (Josie Woodsmall), Jacob Morrison and Carter McIntyre; and his great grandchild Lincoln Sargeant. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials may be given to the Ricky Downard Memorial Fund and sent to the funeral home.
