We announce the death of Ron A. Smith (Oquawka, Illinois), who passed away on June 19, 2026, at the age of 63. Ron will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Milford and Wava Maxine Smith (Thompson); and his brother Don "Rocky" Smith. He is survived by: his brothers, Jon Smith (Carrie) of Oquawka and Lon Smith (Barb) of Biggsville, Illinois; his nephew Justin Smith of Roseville, Illinois; and his nieces, Kerry Spangler of Fort Madison and Nicole Spangler of Bushnell, Illinois. He is also survived by three great nieces.
