She was predeceased by: her parents, John Shearer and Madelyn Shearer Bailey (Curtis); her uncle Merlin Curtis; her aunt Mildred Ruck; and her sister-in-law Gloria Shearer.
She is survived by: her daughters, Bobbi Edwards (Barry) of Decatur, IL and Terri Hinton (Rick) of Decatur, IL; her brother Larry Shearer of Forsyth, IL; her grandsons, Jeff Kresse-Bond (Nick) of Denver, CO, Jason Kresse (Sarah) of Trussville, AL and Matthew Edwards of Decatur, IL; and her great grandchildren, Ryleigh Kresse, Bryson Kresse and Ella Kresse.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church or Humane Society of Decatur and Macon County.
