He was predeceased by: his parents, John Barnes and Margaret Barnes; his wife Sharon R. Jackson; and his siblings, Mary Highley, Bob Barnes, Delores Hauck (Ruth), Barb Mansfield, Beverly Carter, Phyllis Younker, Nancy Brennan, Diane Smith, Patricia Blankenship and Bill Barnes.
He is survived by: his children, Mike Barnes (Annette), Angie Rupert (Mike) and Tyler Barnes; his granddaughters, Brittany Bevins and Amanda Lewis Jackson; and his brothers, Jack, Rick and Ron Barnes. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Friends Creek Community Center Building (101 S North St, Argenta, IL 62501).
