He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Warren and Elizabeth Leevy (Sigmund); his wife Elfriede Maria "Effie" Brand; his stepson Carl; and his siblings, Elizabeth and Herman.
He is survived by: his children, Barbara Denny (Jerry), Warren Leevy (Benita), Mary Alice Stacey (John), Shirley Leevy and Gary Leevy (Barbara); his stepsons, Steve Leevy and Robert Leevy; and his sister Dorothy Leevy. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
