He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed McCanse and Lillian McCanse (Griffin); his parents-in-law, Don and Joanne Spangler; his brother-in-law Don Spangler Jr.; and his niece Chelsie.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Harner (Spangler); his children, Holly, Chris and CJ (Julia); his stepchildren, Kris Harner and Heather Miller (Mike); his siblings, Sandi Wood (Dave), Rod McCanse (Donna), Don McCanse (Jude) and Rick McCanse (Becky); his siblings-in-law, Ken Spangler (Shannon) and Kellie Spangler; and his grandchildren, Clarrisa, Monica and Nathan. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home - Oregon (110 S 7th St, Oregon, IL 61061). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, St. Jude's Children Hospital, or charity of giver's choice.
