He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed McCanse and Lillian McCanse (Griffin); his parents-in-law, Don and Joanne Spangler; his brother-in-law Don Spangler Jr.; and his niece Chelsie.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Harner (Spangler); his children, Holly Banghart, Chris McCanse and CJ McCanse (Julia); his stepchildren, Kris Harner and Heather Miller (Mike); his siblings, Sandi Wood (Dave), Rod McCanse (Donna), Don McCanse (Jude) and Rick McCanse (Becky); his siblings-in-law, Ken Spangler (Shannon) and Kellie Spangler; and his grandchildren, Clarrisa Banghart, Monica Miller and Nathan Funderberg. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Serenity Hospice & Home, Oregon, St. Jude's Children Hospital, or charity of giver's choice.
