He is survived by: his wife Janet McMillan of Oregon; his children, Andrea Mitchell (Jim) of North Port, FL and Patrick McMillan (Stacie) of Robinson, IL; his stepson Paul Hardy (Lisa) of Palatine, IL; his siblings, Ross McMillan of Royse City, TX, Kathy McMillan and Elizabeth Swift of Columbia, SC; his grandchildren, Zachary Mitchell, Rebecca Mitchell and Victoria McMillan; and his stepgrandchildren, Brian, Mia and Jason Hardy. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A memorial fund is established in Donald Bruce McMillan's name.
