He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Mauntz Jones; and his father J. Harry Jones. He is survived by: his children, J. Harry Jones III and Elizabeth Clemmitt (Richard) of Wilmette, IL; his granddaughter Cassie Jones of Southern California; his great grandchild Kiara; his grandsons, Ethan Clemmitt of Seattle, WA and Adam Clemmitt; and his close friend Charles Hammer of Kansas City. He is also survived by three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Evanston, 1330 Ridge Ave., Evanston, IL, 60201, the A.C.L.U. or Democratic candidates for president or Congress.
