She was predeceased by: her parents, David Vancil and Roberta Vancil (Phipps); her husband Lloyd Smith; her daughter Esther Smith; her brother Dennis Vancil; and her son-in-law Kenneth Diaz.
She is survived by: her children, Danielle Diaz of Oregon and Robert Smith (Deborah) of Denver, NC; and her siblings, Robin Vancil of Rock Falls and David Vancil. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
