He was predeceased by: his parents, Janet Lou (Smith) and Mervin R. Rhoads; and his sister Elizabeth "Betsy" Read (Rhoads). He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Rhoads; his sons, Steven of Rockford and Brian (Mary) of Highland Park, IL; his grandchildren, Luke and Eryn; his sister Mary Alice Van Est (Eric) of Rockford, IL; and his brother-in-law Tom Read of Cedar Rapids, IA. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
