Toney E. Stutesman Obituary

Toney D. Stutesman, age 50, died suddenly in his home in Oregon, IL on the afternoon of Thursday, June 18, 2026. He was born August 11, 1975, in Fort Knox, KY, the son of David M. Stutesman & Umchon (Kim) Swanson. Toney lived most of his life in the Blue Ridge mountain area with his dad in a cabin on 26 acres of land. Toney loved his time in North Carolina, spending time hiking, 4-wheeling, collecting guns and shooting. Toney had a deep love for animals, especially his dog Winston. He was a true family man, after his father's passing, he moved back to Illinois to care for his stepfather and mother. He loved to spend time cooking with them, especially for Thanksgiving.

He is preceded in death by his father David and his brother Tommy Stutesman. Toney is survived and missed dearly by his loving mother Kim Swanson and her husband Richard Swanson; stepsister Brina (Cody) Swanson; and aunts and uncles Debbie, Lynn, Lee, Dale, and Lori (Keri); cousin Leekwon Kang.

A visitation has been scheduled for Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Farrell Holland Gale Funeral Home of 110 S. 7th St, Oregon, IL, 61061 between the hours of 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm. Immediately following the visitation will be a Funeral service to honor Toney's life, which will be conducted by Reverend Dave Rogula of Lighthouse Church of Oregon, IL. Cremation rites will take place sometime after the services and Toney will be scattered alongside his grandparents. In lieu of flowers the family asks that you consider making a donation to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty of Animals or ASPCA.
