He was predeceased by: his parents, John DeDecker and Dorothy DeDecker (Haines); his brother Gary Vanderbilt; and his former wife Sandy Gannon. He is survived by: his wife Sue Payne; his children, Robin DeDecker of Rock Island, Denise DeDecker (Scott) of Rock Island, Michelle Payne (Rick) of Tiffin, IA, Lynn Shipley (Shawn) of Silvis and Jodi DeDecker-Bubar (Gary) of Marissa, IL; his sister Peggy Ricky (Jerry) of Geneseo; his stepbrother Tom "Moose" Vanderbilt of Grand Mound, IA; and his siblings-in-law, Carollyn Vanderbilt of Sabula, IA, Ann Beshore (Eric) of Gainsville, FL and Kerry Gannon (JoAnn) of Orion, IL.. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
