With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John L. Herberg of Orion, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 20, 2025 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Herberg and Esther Herberg (Sandberg); and his sister Sally. He is survived by: his wife Merrilene Frost; his children, Bob Herberg (Angela) and Brenda Emmendorfer (Mark); and his grandchildren, Nick, Cherrie, Jennifer and Dawn. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. (6601 38th Ave, Moline, IL 61265). A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 28th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
