He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer McMeekin and Lillian McMeekin (Bates). He is survived by: his wife Theresa Gardener (Dean); his stepson Gary Gardner (Kari) of Silvis, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Adriana Troche (Marissa) and Michael Puig (Shay) of Silvis, IL; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Levi and Luca Puig; and his niece Laurie Scott.
