With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elroy Dowling (Orland Hills, Illinois), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 13, 2025 at the age of 93. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Elroy Dowling to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his wife Catherine M. "Nancy" Dowling; his parents, James Dowling and Lillian Dowling (Volay); and his siblings, Lorraine Haas (late Ed) and Francis (Carol).
He is survived by: his children, Kathleen Cappel (Ed), James Dowling, Michael Dowling (Ellen), Paul Dowling and Annamarie Dowling; his grandchildren, Michelle, Brian, Ashley, Patrick and Megan; and his great grandchildren, Becker, Brecken, Bodie and Maggie.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Seton Church (9300 W 167th St, Orland Hills, IL 60487). A Mass was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
