He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Hicks and Mae Hicks; and his brother Jerry. He is survived by: his wife Roselee; his sons, Archbishop Ronald A. Hicks and Richard J. Hicks (Mary Beth); his grandsons, Grant (Tiffany), Nolan (Halee) and Justin (Emily); and his great grandchildren, Ivy and Hadley.

Visitation was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Elizabeth Seton Church (9300 W 167th St, Orland Hills, IL 60487). A Mass was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
