He was predeceased by : his parents, William "Bill" Meyer and Marian Meyer (Van Byssum); and his brother William G. Meyer. He is survived by : his wife Eva; his children, Sarah Buffer (Cody) and Brian W. Meyer (Avery); his grandchild Lainey; his siblings, Sandra Vander Hart (late Archie), Scott Meyer and Bruce Meyer (Esther); and his siblings-in-law, John Rosado (Theresa), Wanda Rosado and Alexia Lidsky (Nathan).

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 14th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Colonial Chapel (15525 73rd Ave, Orland Park, IL 60462). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 15th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
