He is survived by: his children, Carol Trahey, John Trahey (Patty) and Kathleen Trahey; and his grandchildren, Daniel, Michael (Marlene), Ryan, Samantha, Sean, Laura (Lane) and Jack.

“I met Mr. Trahey in 1958 when his family moved to our neighborhood. His oldest son and I were life long friends. Mr. Trahey took charge of our parish (St. Thomas More) basketball team and he taught us about basketball and about life. Be humble in victory and be gracious in defeat. Never give up on your teammates or on yourself. He was the consummate educator. 3 of our starting players went on to success as starters at our respective high schools. May he rest in peace. Dr. Jack Gardner”
