She was predeceased by: her husband Alan T. Szarka; and her parents, Marco Beslic and Sylvia Beslic. She is survived by: her children, Natalie, Brooke Palermo (Lorenzo) and Amber Sikes (Matthew); her grandchildren, Dominic, Enzo, Leo, Connor and Carter; and her siblings, Marlene (Jim), Mark (Rae), George (Pat) and Ron (Marsha).
