He was predeceased by: his wives, Vivian Salay and Doris Salay; his parents, Joseph Salaj and Mary Salaj; and his siblings, Mildred Janik (late George), Edward Salaj and Irene Deitz (late Kenneth).
He is survived by: his sons, Joseph Salay and Donald Salay (Kimberly); his grandchildren, Rachel Smith (Kyle), Lauren Salay and Chelsea Salay; and his great grandchildren, Weston, Easton and Harley.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home - Orland Park (9000 W 151st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
