He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Maria Isabel Nieves; his children, Ivan Nieves (Denis), Brenda Ortiz (Antonio), Angel Nieves, Gabriela, Antonio, Frances and Olivia Ortiz; and his sisters, Micaela and Lydia Huertas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hickey Memorial Chapels - Blue Island (2429 W 127th St, Blue Island, IL 60406). A prayer will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St Donatus Church (1939 Union St, Blue Island, IL 60406). A burial will be held on Saturday, December 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St Casimir Cemetery (4401 W 111th St, Chicago, IL 60655).
