He was predeceased by: his wife Kathleen; his parents, William McGonagle and Dorothy McGonagle; and his sister Carole Hindel. He is survived by: his children, Maureen McGonagle (Cliff Althoff), Donna Katula (Wayne), Cheryl Iskrzycki (Vince) and Michele MacLeod (Ian); his grandchildren, Henry (Veronica), Eleanor (Stephen), Joshua (Hannah), Kate, Brad, David, Samantha (Traves), Daniel, Quinn and Graham; and his great grandchild Juniper.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Robert J. Sheehy & Sons Funeral Home (9000 W 151st St, Orland Park, IL 60462). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 8:45 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Monday, October 19th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Michael Church (14327 Highland Ave, Orland Park, IL 60462).
