He is survived by: his wife Patricia Boldt Rueckheim; his sister Doris Ruth Mathieson; and his children, Lisa Anne (Bass), Susan Jean (Kalis), Jill Elizabeth (Kunkel) and Ronald Richard. He is also survived by 3 children, 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
